We are looking for a Purchaser to join our Global Service Division to ensure purchasing is carried out efficiently, accurately, and with an excellent cost/quality ratio. 


As a Purchaser, you will be a central coordinator, working with Logistic centres on stock replenishment, supporting sales in the quoting process, and cooperating with project managers. Furthermore, you will be a "go-to" person in the team, providing support and mentoring to others.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible for the purchasing of components related to modifications, repairs and upgrades
  • Co-ordinate activities related to commodity purchases, including pending enquiries and order confirmations
  • Update customer offers with necessary price and delivery information, and prepare purchase order documents
  • Follow up with suppliers and network to create and maintain a strong supplier base
  • Take action in accordance with the current ERP system for the replenishment of stock items
  • Comply with contractual agreements for spares supply and ensure delivery in accordance with agreed Incoterms and Terms & Conditions
  • Ensure purchase documentation is ready for invoicing, and create and send the final invoice to the customer.

Reporting directly to the Manager Projects for Offshore Load handling, Offshore Mooring & Offshore Loading systems located in Norway. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Kristiansand or Arendal, Norway. 

What you’ll need to succeed

Ideally you have

 

  • Commercial or technical Bachelor degree, or equivalent through experience (basic technical education/qualification is preferred)
  • Proven track record from the same or a similar purchasing position
  • Solid computer skills, including experience with relevant SAP modules (and FMT), Google package (Google Workspace)
  • The ability to read technical drawings across mechanics, electrics, and hydraulics
  • Negotiation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of the spares logistics process
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
