Do you thrive on building client relationships and driving long-term success for our customers? Looking no further, MacGregor is looking to hire an Account Manager, Megayacht to join our global team.
The purpose of this role is to own and grow a portfolio of superyacht clients (50m+), including yacht managers, owners’ representatives, captains, and refit shipyards, by selling and coordinating maintenance, repairs, retrofits, equipment supply, and Life-Saving Appliances (LSA) subscription services. Your role will also be to act as the commercial face of MacGregor for the superyacht segment and the primary link between customers, project managers, and engineering teams. You will drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction while aligning offers with yacht refit windows and ensuring compliance with class and flag requirements.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the global superyacht ecosystem, including shipyards, yacht brokers, and designers
- Develop and execute account plans for yacht managers, owners’ reps, captains, and shipyards, mapping decision makers,opportunities, and refit cycle
- Qualify, scope, and negotiate projects and collaborate with marketing to execute campaigns targeting high-value superyacht accounts
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned accounts, managing communication, satisfaction, and escalations
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure project delivery excellence
- Participate in major yacht shows such as Monaco, FLIBS, Dubai to promote MacGregor services and expand networks
- Ensure compliance with relevant marine regulations, OEM approvals, and flag state certifications for offered services
Reporting directly to the Manager, Projects. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Germany, Italy, France or UAE,Dubai.
What you’ll need to succeed
You have a deep understanding of the maritime industry, effortlessly building relationships with owners, captains, and yards. Your strong planning skills ensure our solutions align with critical refit windows and yard slots. Above all, you are a highly organized, communicative, and customer-focused individual with exceptional negotiation skills.
Ideally you have
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in superyacht or high-end marine services, refit, or OEM equipment sales
- Established network with yacht managers, captains, and refit yards (North Europe, The Mediterranean , US)
- Proven track record of closing complex service/refit deals and coordinating delivery with project management and engineering teams
- Technical knowledge of systems such as Tender doors, Jet Ski gate; Boat gate; Toy Store gate, Passerelles and gangways, Telescopic masts, Stern platforms and bathing platforms, Sea balcony and bulwarks, Helicopter deck, Anchor shell cover, Lighting and PLCs.
- Valid Driver license and willingness to travel
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Other language skills in German/Italian/French/Spanish would be an advantage.
