Do you thrive in building customer relationships, exceeding sales targets, and managing budgets effectively? Looking no further, MacGregor is looking to hire an Account Representative with experience in marine, shipping, or offshore industries.
The purpose of this role is to promote and sell spare parts, serve as the primary customer contact for the branch, and fulfill additional management-assigned tasks to support the company and local sales team.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include driving sales through customer visits and lead generation, negotiating deals, assessing customer needs, building client relationships, reporting market intelligence, executing sales plans, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales budgets. In addition, you will produce and file detailed visit reports from all customer meetings.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Maintain and update comprehensive market and customer information, reporting key insights to management
- Build and strengthen customer relationships while driving service contract sales and managing quotations and installed base details
- Ensure timely order and delivery follow-up, escalating issues as needed to protect customer relationships
- Support accounts receivable collection in collaboration with the local controller
- Execute assigned projects to contribute to the company's overall success
What you’ll need to succeed
Understanding of the marine, shipping, or offshore industries is essential for this position. We are looking for a person with established experience in the Abu Dhabi market and with competence in Microsoft Office Suite. You are a self-driven, customer-focused individual with communication, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills, able to work with limited supervision, and you have a desire to further develop yourself and the department.
Ideally you have
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marine or business
- 3-5 years of experience within the marine, shipping, or offshore industries in Abu Dhabi
- Fluent in English language - both verbal and written
