More tasks and responsibilities
- Execute multi-year commercial savings roadmaps for assigned categories, identifying and capturing cost-reduction opportunities to meet annual budget targets
- Strategically identify, evaluate, and cultivate a robust supplier network designed to uphold and advance MacGregor’s long-term business line objectives
- Streamline and consolidate the supply chain footprint to reduce complexity and leverage economies of scale across multiple business units
- Act as the primary interface for category stakeholders, ensuring alignment between MacGregor’s divisions
- Leverage global market intelligence and commodity trend analysis to drive proactive decision-making and optimize organizational resilience against market volatility
- Serve as the Lead Supplier Relationship Manager for cross-divisional partners, fostering long-term collaboration and driving performance
- Maintain master data accuracy in SAP (lead times, pricing, Incoterms) to ensure seamless downstream execution
- Consistently deliver against QDCI (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation) KPIs and strategic organizational goals
Reporting directly to the Director, Category Steel located in Sweden. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Gdansk, Poland.
What you’ll need to succeed
You should possess good knowledge within manufacturing processes, preferably within steel fabrication. We are looking for a candidate who also possesses strong negotiation skills and the ability to decisively close agreements. You should be an articulate communicator, comfortable presenting to groups and managing high-level relationships alongside multiple project deliverables.
Ideally you have
- A university degree in a commercial or technical field is preferred
- A strong history of professional achievement may offset the absence of formal academic qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Procurement, sourcing, and Supply Management
- Expert negotiator with proven results, with willingness to lead and train Sourcing & Supply chain further in negotiation skills
- Demonstrated experience in product cost optimization and category strategy implementation
- Familiarity with Google Workspace would be an advantage
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
