MacGregor is looking to hire a Director, Spare Parts Center, AC/DM/SG (Air Compressors/Deck Machinery/Steering Gear) to join the company. In this position, you will be responsible for the spare parts business of the deck machinery (merchant), air compressors, and steering gears product lines. It includes leading the Business Unit (BU), strategic direction, growth, and profitability. The director will lead teams of professionals in an empowering way to achieve revenue targets, improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, and maintain a competitive advantage in the spare parts market. The director of the spare part center has the business ownership including profit and lost responsibility.

You will be responsible for strategic planning - developing and implementing short-term and long-term strategic plans for the spare parts business unit, identifying and analyzing potential and capture rate, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Other responsibilities are budgeting, monitoring and analyzing financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.

More tasks and responsibilities

• Drive order intake, digital channels, customer service, and delivery performance
• Continuously improve the responsiveness, availability of spare parts, quality, and claim rate
• Manage spare parts sales portfolio, pricing, and data management for spare part identification 
• Lead development and marketing initiatives to promote spare part products and services
• Implement customer satisfaction activities to ensure high levels of service and support
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the key customers, regions and partners
• Set up, develop, and lead a high-performing team of spare parts professionals
• Foster culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Provide guidance and coach the team members to achieve individual and team goals

The Director, Spare Parts Center, AC/DM/SG, is a member of the Spare Parts Business Line’s leadership team to develop and drive the Full Potential Plan activities. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Spare Parts. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Gdansk or Hamburg. The position requires occasional travel up to 40 days a year.

What you’ll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role is an excellent communicator with strong collaboration and leadership skills. You are proactive, taking ownership, and demonstrating a drive to succeed.

Ideally you have

• University degree in a relevant field, such as business, engineering, or product management
• 10+ years of experience in spare parts, aftermarket services, product management, sales or engineering
• 5+Previous experience in leading a crossfunctional team
• Previous experience with one of the following product lines; steering gears, deck machinery and air compressors 
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
