As a Junior Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for revising existing designs, generating technical documentation, and participating in developing innovative solutions for complex projects.


This role offers the opportunity to contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from the initial tender phase to providing technical support and even participating in testing and commissioning. Through this role, you will learn to manage your design projects to meet cost, time, and quality standards, supported by a talented team.


This role is part of our Equipment and Solutions Division, Offshore Solutions business line. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Mechanical and Structural. This position is based in Gdansk, Poland.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Design and modify offshore equipment.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Communicate project progress to stakeholders.

What you’ll need to succeed

Essential traits for this role include strong communication, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of how design choices influence other disciplines. Success within our collaborative environment demands a team player who can motivate and inspire colleagues, exhibiting self-discipline, flexibility, and open-mindedness. The ability to build trust with both colleagues and clients is also crucial.

 

Ideally you have

  • University degree (M.Sc. / B.Sc.) in the relevant field of Engineering.
  • Experience in a similar position, maritime industry, as an additional asset.
  • Experience in using CAD systems, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and inspire others.
  • English language - both verbal and written, technical understanding.
