Are you looking for an opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of an organization’s structure? Look no further, MacGregor's Global Service Division is hiring a Purchaser to join our team.
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Purchaser to manage our end-to-end procurement process including placing and tracking purchase orders in SAP, verifying automated orders, and ensuring timely delivery in alignment with company policies. In this role, you will be a key player in coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, while providing mentorship to junior colleagues to maintain our high standards of cost and quality.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Obtaining and evaluating supplier offers to support the Customer Experience and Quotation teams during the RFQ process
- Tracking order progress and delivery dates to ensure timely fulfillment, while alerting stakeholders to any pricing or deadline discrepancies
- Managing supplier performance, resolving claims related to quality or pricing, and acting as the primary point of contact for vendor disputes
- Generating detailed purchasing reports and verifying vendor invoices using the Basware tool to ensure alignment with contract terms.
- Working to optimize the purchasing process to achieve the best cost-to-quality ratio.
Reporting directly to Manager, Purchasing. The position will be based in Gdańsk, Poland.
What you’ll need to succeed
You should be a well-organized person who is good at multitasking and working with numbers. We are looking for someone who communicates clearly, likes working in a team, and is comfortable using SAP and Excel on a daily basis.
Ideally you have
- Commercial or technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role (experience in the maritime or spare parts industry is a big plus)
- Good knowledge of SAP, Google Workspace, and Salesforce
- Negotiation skills
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
