Senior Engineer, Structural Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Structural Analyst to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to influence the structural integrity and design of a broad portfolio of MacGregor products, used across various maritime and offshore applications.


This position is part of our Global Service Division, reporting directly to the Lead Structural Analyst. 


This position is based in our Gdańsk office and follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular on-site presence.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Perform strength calculations for offshore & RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) equipment
  • Ability to understand and work with maritime standards (DNV, ABS, etc)
  • Review design work and prepare high-quality structural reports
  • Provide technical support to customers, production teams, sub-suppliers, and strategic partners
  • Liaise with classification societies to resolve design or approval issues
  • Collaborate with global teams and communicate clearly to achieve project goals

What you’ll need to succeed

As a Senior Structural Analyst, you will perform complex structural calculations using advanced tools and finite element analysis (FEA) methods. Your work will ensure that our products consistently meet the highest standards of safety, quality, performance, and client specifications.

 

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in structural calculations of cranes
  • At least 5 years of previous experience in Mechanical Design within marine or other relevant industry
  • University degree (M.Sc. / B.Sc.) in the relevant field of Engineering
  • Proficiency in engineering tools such as ANSYS, SpaceClaim, Excel, Mathcad
  • Skills in using AutoCAD and Inventor
  • Willingness to develop new and innovative solutions
  • Analytical thinking and strong ability to successfully resolve complex problems and issues
  • Easily adapt to new techniques and want to expand your knowledge
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English


Ideally you have

 

  • Experience in structural analysis of RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) equipment
  • Klowladge of OrcaFlex (dynamic analysis software)
  • Knowledge of any other similar dynamic analysis software
