MacGregor is looking to hire a Senior Manager, Distribution Center Europe to join our office in Gdansk, Poland.
The Spare Parts Distribution Center is responsible for all spare parts customer deliveries in the area, order-to-invoice operations, effective inventory and logistics management, optimize supply network and procurement, and reduce the risk of obsolete stock. The distribution center may operate as an internal supplier for other areas and a local sourcing hub when it is cost-effective. DC scope also includes responsibility for the oversight and standardization of satellite warehouses and service workshops in the region.
The DC Senior Manager builds and leads the cross-functional supply chain organization for the area specific customer deliveries, continuous improvement and optimization. The role serves as a key link between operational execution and strategic planning, aligning distribution center performance with company goals for customer service, efficiency, cost control, and supply reliability.
The main KPIs are: Same day deliveries / average delivery lead time, delivery accuracy, touchless order-to-invoice flow (% of orders), high order fill-rate from stock and inventory turn, and supply cost reduction.
The Distribution Center Senior Manager is accountable for managing and developing the organisation within the assigned area of responsibility according to targets set by the Spare Parts Center management especially for the commercial aspects.
More tasks and responsibilities

Responsibility for upstream and downstream operations: Oversee Distribution Center order to invoice, including receiving, warehousing, inventory management, order fulfillment, invoicing and shipping

Develop and implement integrated strategies for sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution that align with overall business objectives

Develop efficient processes and workflows to optimize productivity, minimize costs, and maximize throughput
- Develop and execute planning and forecasting strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels

Continuous development of supplier network, inventory value, cost and delivery performance of spare parts

Drive specialized Sourcing operations with adequate capacity & focus allocation on strategic initiatives

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to achieve breakthrough improvements.

Responsible for carrying out changes according to our operating model

Ensuring good cooperation between all internal and external stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration between sourcing, procurement, inventory/production planning, and logistics teams

Lead continuous improvement initiatives across all supply chain functions, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and similar methodologies
Reporting directly to the Director, Sourcing and Supply Chain. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Gdansk, Poland.

This role requires both domestic and international travel as needed.
Ideally you have

University degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, engineering or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a distribution center environment is a must

Previous experience from the maritime industry, aftermarket services or production industry is beneficial

Knowledge of MacGregor processes, parts and product offering is beneficial

Previous experience from an international business environment and preferability in a matrix organisation

Strong experience with Change Management and driving change

Strong IT literacy, numeracy, and analytical skills - good attention to details

Fluent in both written and spoken English
