We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Structural Analyst to become an integral part of our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the structural integrity and design of our diverse range of MacGregor product portfolios, which span across various maritime and offshore applications.
This role is part of our Equipment and Solutions Division, Offshore Solutions business line. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Mechanical and Structural. This position is based in Gdansk, Poland.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Conducting strength calculations for offshore equipment.
- Ability to understand and work with maritime standards (DNV, ABS, etc)
- Reviewing completed designs and preparation of Structural Reports
- Addressing inquiries originating from customers, production personnel, sub-suppliers, and strategic partners.
- Liaise with class societies to overcome any issues identified with the design/approvals.
- Collaborate with global teams and communicate clearly to achieve project goals.
What you’ll need to succeed
As a Structural Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting complex structural calculations, utilizing your expertise in finite element analysis. Your work will directly impact the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our products, ensuring they meet stringent industry standards and client specifications.
Ideally you have
- At least 5 years of experience in strength analysis within marine or other relevant industry
- University degree (M.Sc. / B.Sc.) in the relevant field of Engineering.
- Ability to work with calculation tools: ANSYS, SpaceClaim, Excel, MathCad
- Experience in structural calculations of cranes is considered as an advantage
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor will be considered a distinct advantage
- Willingness to develop new and innovative solutions;
- Easily adapt to new techniques and want to expand your knowledge;
- Analytical thinking and strong ability to successfully resolve complex problems and issues.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English;
