The purpose of this role is to serve as the Technical Gatekeeper within the Global Quotation Management Department, providing prompt and high-precision validation for spare parts (Ro-Ro) inquiries submitted by our sales offices.
In this position, you ensure that every quote issued reflects the correct, most current, and most cost-effective component specifically tailored to the customer’s unique equipment configuration.
You'll act as a strategic anchor, guaranteeing that each proposal is technically sound, profitable across diverse global markets, and perfectly aligned with the specific requirements.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Perform identification and analysis for complex, high-value global spare parts (Ro-Ro) inquiries.
- Validate technical compatibility for "Package Quotes," such as overhaul kits and preventive maintenance bundles.
- Advise the Pricing Team on the technical complexity and requirements of "made-to-order" components.
- Review Customer Specifications to ensure alignment with required international standards (RINA, 3.2, ABS, DNV).
- Maintain and update technical data in (SAP, PLM, PDM, Salesforce) to accelerate future quote turnaround times.
- Provide ad-hoc technical expertise to various global departments to facilitate the quoting process.
This role is a part of the Parts Identification and Technical Clarification Team. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Gdansk, Poland or Gothenburg, Sweden.
