Do you excel at coordinating with various stakeholders and managing intricate trade regulations?


We are looking for a Trade and Customs Compliance Manager to establish and govern robust trade compliance processes across MacGregor’s aftersales business, ensuring alignment with internal compliance policies and applicable international trade regulations.


As a Trade and Customs Compliance Manager you will be responsible for leading product classification activities, overseeing customs and export control compliance, coordinating CBAM requirements, and safeguarding daily logistics operations against regulatory risks. Acting as a key business enabler, the role provides practical, actionable guidance to logistics, procurement, sustainability, and finance teams to ensure efficient and compliant global trade operations.


The Manager is a member of MacGregor’s Export Compliance Network led by the Global Trade Compliance Officer.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Ensure Supply Chain and logistics processes are aligned with internal compliance policies and regulatory requirements
  • Provide advisory support to the logistics team in daily import and export operations, including responsibility for dual-use classification
  • Coordinate compliance-related questions, export control, sanctions, and embargo-related topics across internal functions together with our group compliance team
  • Act as a key Supply Chain stakeholder and subject-matter expert for all trade compliance topics
  • Provide guidance on compliance risks related to controlled goods, countries, and business partners
  • Review and validate customs-related data and documentation prepared by operational teams and the 3rd party logistics provider acting as our customs agent
  • Take responsibility for CBAM reporting and initiate internal measures out of CBAM rules.

This is a hybrid role reporting directly to the Vice President, Global Supply Chain Management in Poland. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Gdansk,Poland.

What you’ll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, it is essential that you possess strong analytical thinking, exceptional attention to detail, and a process-oriented mindset. We are seeking an individual who can effectively collaborate with internal teams and external 3rd party logistics providers.

Ideally you have

  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a technical trade compliance role, including HS/TARIC and Dual-Use classifications
  • Experience in trade compliance, customs, or logistics support roles within international companies
  • Solid knowledge of:
    -Product classification
    -Export control legislation
    -Sanctions and embargo requirements
    -Customs valuation and origin rules
  • Experience with CBAM requirements or willingness to develop expertise
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly in trade compliance and customs master data
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
