Production Control Supervisor, Electrical

MacGregor is looking to hire a Production Control Supervisor to join our team. The purpose of this role is to be responsible for supervising and ensuring the quality of electrical equipment on site, to drive product quality improvements and provide training to partner and subcontractor personnel. In addition, the Production Control Supervisor will also conduct quality audits and offer production support to partners and suppliers.


Your day-to-day responsibilities are to ensure that partners and suppliers adhere to MacGregor quality standards, with most time spent on-site, to record and follow up on quality deviations and implement continuous improvement actions as well as supervise electric assembly and test workers at our partners & suppliers.

More tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Inspect electrical components and assemblies according to MGC holding points and checklists

  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) inspections with Class surveyors and/or customers

  • Provide training to shipyard personnel and subcontractors producing electrical equipment for MacGregor

  • Collaborate closely with engineering to improve quality and production processes

  • Production support to our partners/suppliers regarding technical questions

  • Report the inspection record of holding points in Flexite

  • Support commissioning team and service team for product related questions

  • Assist the technical department in preparing specifications for new products

  • Ensure suppliers meet technical specifications during production

  • Handling other tasks assigned by the line manager

 

Reporting directly to the Manager, Production Control. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Gdynia, Poland and it includes frequent travel.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

The ideal candidate for this role is a collaborative team player with the ability to understand and work with technical documentation and willing towards continuous learning. We are looking for a person who has clearly proven attention to detail and solution oriented mindset with the ability to understand industry norms and best practices. The suitable person also has the ability to troubleshoot issues related to technical drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and relevant software tools.

 

Ideally you have

 

  • Bachelor degree in engineering preferable

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing/testing of electrical products

  • Experience in Electrical Design and Automation

  • Ability to Read Electrical Drawings

  • Electrical/automation engineer with PLC Programming (Phoenix Contact, Siemens S7-300/1200/1500, TIA Portal, SIMATIC Manager)

  • Industrial Communication Protocols (Preferred: ProfiBus DP, ProfiNet, Industrial Ethernet)

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English 

 

Experience in welding, painting, mechanical and electrical assembly, as well as hydraulic systems, is considered an advantage — especially if gained in a shipyard environment.
