Are you an experienced, results-driven leader ready to take full ownership of regional service operations and drive strategic business growth? We are seeking a people oriented and motivated Operations Manager to oversee and optimize all regional activities in Italy, Greece and Türkiye, ensuring best-in-class service delivery and financial performance.

As Operations Manager, you will be key to putting both local and regional service strategies into action, managing the day-to-day work, and making sure we always achieve excellent customer satisfaction. 

You will manage a dedicated team of long-serving professionals specialized in MacGregor’s comprehensive range of equipment for seagoing vessels, including Cranes, RoRo systems, Deck Machinery, Steering Gears, and Hatch Covers.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans and actively research and drive business development opportunities
  • P&L responsibility for local operations, including financial reporting
  • Organize operations and optimize Engineer utilization
  • Improve and maintain the motivation and skills of employees, developing a strong teamwork spirit.
  • Provide operative day-to-day management for the service team members
  • Set performance targets for direct reports and drive team performance
  • Continuously monitor and develop efficiency, productivity, quality focus, and performance.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, Europe located in the Netherlands. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Genoa , Italy or Piraeus, Greece. 

What you’ll need to succeed

We are looking for a proactive, adaptable leader with a passion for operational excellence and a proven track record in service management and business growth, who can maintain effectiveness and drive performance even during times of change.

Ideally you have

  • University degree in Engineering or Business Studies
  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant role within marine industry
  • Leadership, managerial, and interpersonal skills
  • People management skills
  • Good knowledge of CRM systems preferable Sales Force
  • Willingness for international travel
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Italian or Greek
