Ready to lead communications at the heart of strategy execution?

 

MacGregor is looking for a seasoned and forward-thinking Communications Director to lead our global communications agenda and play a key role in delivering our “Full Ahead” strategy. This is a high-impact leadership role, central to executing strategy, strengthening culture, and accelerating performance. You will work closely with the CEO, CFO, CPO, and Executive Team to ensure communication is a true business driver, supporting our vision, accelerating performance, and reinforcing our position as a trusted industry leader.

 

As Communications Director, you will lead the development and execution of MacGregor’s global communications strategy, across internal and external channels, with a clear focus on business value, reputation, and engagement, aligned with our “Full Ahead” strategy.

 

You will also play a key role in shaping our company culture, leadership communication, and employee engagement, ensuring our values are clearly articulated, consistently lived, and embedded across the organization.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Driving executive, internal, and external communications that enable strategy execution and performance
  • Leading financial communications
  • Strengthening MacGregor’s brand, thought leadership, and global media presence, as well as employer branding
  • Ensuring readiness for crisis and high-stakes communications
  • Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing communications team

 

Reporting directly to the EVP, Chief People Officer in Finland. The position will be based in one of MacGregor's office locations in Gothenburg, Stockholm, or Helsinki. 

 

What you’ll need to succeed

You have extensive experience in corporate communications and a proven track record in financial communications.

 

You are a confident and agile communications leader with strong business acumen and the ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels. You thrive in a fast-paced, global environment and bring the credibility and presence required to influence at the executive level.

 

We are looking for someone who combines sharp judgment with fresh thinking, someone who challenges the status quo and brings energy, clarity, and impact to everything they do.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Master’s degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent
  • 10–15+ years of experience in corporate communications within an international B2B environment
  • Strong track record in financial communications, including quarterly and annual reporting and navigating stock exchange regulatory requirements
  • Experience supporting executive teams and managing complex stakeholder landscapes
  • Experience using communication to drive transformation, culture, and engagement
  • Professional proficiency of English and Swedish
