Document Controller & Registrator

The primary purpose of the Document Controller & Registrator is to serve as the guardian of the organization’s information integrity. You are responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of both digital and physical records, ensuring they are systematically managed, securely stored, and easily retrievable.

By maintaining control over protected information, this role mitigates risk and ensures that the organization remains compliant with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

More tasks and responsibilities

Document Controller:

  • Oversee the creation, numbering, filing, and archiving of project documentation to ensure seamless information flow

  • Maintain rigorous tracking of revisions and document status, ensuring all teams access the most current data

  • Manage specialized documentation for naval orders, ensuring strict adherence to customer-specific requirements and templates

  • Provide document management system training to staff and foster a collaborative environment through expert assistance

 

Registrator:

  • Manage and safeguard classified documentation

  • Control and audit access to sensitive information

  • Deliver security governance training and awareness programs

  • Oversee the secure disposal of obsolete classified data

  • Report security breaches directly to the Security Officer

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, QEHS, Compliance, Management) on security standards

 

The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Gothenburg, Sweden, reporting directly to the Director, Contract Management, Installation & Commissioning, Cargo Access Solutions.

Ideally you have:

  • University degree or equivalent professional experience

  • 5+ years of relevant business or product experience, ideally gained within the navy or maritime industries

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, which are essential for our operational success

  • An organized, structured, and committed approach to managing workflows and deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to solve tasks in an independent manner, showing strong ownership of your work

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
