We are looking for an experienced and strategic ILS Manager to take overall responsibility for the Integrated Logistic Support process across our navy and commercial projects, from the tender stage through to full execution. In this role, you will act as a key advisor and leader, ensuring that our technical documentation deliverables are correct, robust, cost-effective and perfectly aligned with contractual requirements.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Leading the ILS work across all relevant contracts and managing a dedicated team of ILS Engineers
- Assisting the Sales department with precise cost and hour estimations during the bidding process
- Partnering with the purchasing department to define specific ILS requirements for the procurement process
- Acting as the primary subject matter expert for the organization and training new employees in the ILS area
- Ensuring all team members adhere to the ordered concepts, schedules, specifications, and budgets for every contract
- Working closely with Contract Managers to create, implement, and regularly update comprehensive ILS plans and programs
- Drafting, editing, organizing and presenting technical documentation external customers
Reporting directly to the Director, Contract Management. The position will be based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for a well-organized leader who can think big-picture while staying on top of the details. You should have a solid background in ILS work grounded in the navy segment and a natural talent for sharing knowledge and leading people. If you’re a great communicator who enjoys working across different teams and keeping complex projects on track, you’ll fit right in.
Ideally you have
- A degree (B.Sc., M.Sc., or similar) in a technical field. Mechanical engineering background is a bonus.
- Several years in the ILS or navy business, including at least 5 years in a management role
- A mix of strategic thinking and the ability to mentor others and manage a team effectively
- The ability to present ideas clearly and work smoothly with various departments
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
