Manager, Project Technical Documentation

The purpose of this role is to lead the team responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality technical documentation such as operations, maintenance manuals, and spare parts catalogues to customers. The manager will ensure that all documentation aligns with project timelines, customer expectations and regulatory standards.


Your daily responsibilities will include leading and managing the project documentation team across various product groups as well as planning, coordinating, and overseeing documentation deliverables for all new build projects.

  • Ensure documentation meets customer specifications and complies with applicable standards
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering, and product teams to gather required inputs
  • Monitor team performance, documentation quality, and delivery timelines
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement in documentation processes
  • Report progress and risks to the Senior Manager, Technical Documentation


Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Technical Documentation Global Service Division. The position can be based in MacGregor’s office in Sweden, or in one of our offices in Finland, Norway, Poland, or Germany.

What you’ll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role has strong management and team leadership skills as well as in-depth knowledge of technical documentation practices and tools. You’re able to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and you approach your work with attention to detail, clear communication, and good organizational habits.


Ideally you have

 

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Technical Communication, or similar
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in technical documentation with at least 2 years in a leadership or project coordination role
  • Experience in customer-facing documentation delivery preferred
  • Experience with digital documentation tools such as CMS, interactive manuals
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and compliance (e.g., S1000D, ISO).
  • Demonstrating working according or values and core behaviors
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
