MacGregor’s ROR Service Projects organisation supports shipowners and operators worldwide with reliable, efficient, and future-ready service solutions. Our teams deliver projects that extend service life, enhance operational capabilities, and ensure optimal performance of cargo handling equipment.
In this role, you will lead and develop the ROR service projects organisation, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably. You will balance strategic direction with operational execution while driving continuous improvement and strengthening MacGregor’s competitiveness in the market.
As part of the Service Projects Leadership Team, you will actively participate in strategic discussions and collaborate across regions and functions to achieve shared goals.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the ROR service projects organisation to achieve operational and financial targets
- Ensure safe, high-quality, and timely delivery of service projects to global customers
- Drive continuous improvement in project performance, operational efficiency, and cost control
- Proactively identify market opportunities and implement strategies to strengthen competitiveness and growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Develop organisational structures, processes, and tools that support scalability and global consistency
- Provide strategic insight and regular reporting on project performance, risks, and opportunities
- Represent MacGregor in customer meetings, industry forums, and professional networks
- Empower, coach, and motivate team members and global peers to achieve excellence and innovation
Reporting directly to the Director, Service Projects, located in Norway. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and a pragmatic, hands-on approach to execution. You thrive in a fast-paced, international environment and are comfortable working across cultures and organisational levels.
Ideally you have
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within merchant, energy, or industrial services
- Proven track record of managing teams and delivering results in complex service projects
- Experience in aftermarket services, engineering solutions, or capital equipment markets is preferred
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with P&L responsibility
- Solid understanding of merchant service operations and regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated success in generating revenue and closing deals in a B2B environment
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to structure profitable deals
- High proficiency in productivity tools, CRM systems, and business reporting tools
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills across internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organisational and change management capabilities
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international, and cross-cultural environment
- Fluent in English; additional languages are considered an advantage
