Do you thrive on bridging the gap between customer needs and technical teams to deliver exceptional products? Looking no further, MacGregor is looking to hire a Product Owner Navy to join our team. 

The purpose of this role is to create reusable Cargo Access Solutions( CAS) equipment concepts based on best practice with focus on product quality, design and cost aspects. In this role, you will also provide continuous maintenance and improvement of the CAS equipment concept and preparatory work for any new contracts and standard articles.

You will play a key role in the development, and is the core competence, in CAS equipment related areas. You will together with other Product Owners develop and maintain the infrastructure for keeping and spreading the concept knowledge into the CAS organisation. You will also support the sales department during the tendering phase in order to ensure the concept design philosophy is taken into account, securing technical performance and cost.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Ensure that current relevant navy rules, standards, certificates and codes of practice are taken into account during product development
  • Give technical input to a technical transfer document to support design team with project preparation when entering new projects/contracts, participates in the technical start-up meetings, "concept stage review" and relevant design reviews
  • Support the Sourcing department with technical review, when selecting new suppliers
  • Support Non-conformity cases relevant to the product group of responsibility
  • Store and evaluate feedback received from the organisation and end-users, implementing it in the concept and/or in a technical transfer document
  • Be involved in initiatives run by engineering, contract management, sales by providing technical opinions in reference to the product
  • Support sales in technical matters regarding the design of typical navy equipment   



Reporting directly to the Manager, Product Management. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you’ll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role is a team player, with presentation and communication skills. We are looking for a person who is skilled in project management and installation methods and practices.


Ideally you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years with CAS products
  • Competent in control systems
  • Competent in rules and regulations
  • Knowledge in design processes and routines
  • Production knowledge
  • Knowledge in Inventor, Autocad, Vault, MacGregor PLM
  • Skilled in function, design and construction
  • Knowledge in load handling technology
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
