Are you an adaptable, customer-focused, and detail-oriented professional with strong coordination skills? We are looking for a Purchaser to join our Sourcing and Supply Chain team.
In this role, you will act as a key contract team member responsible for all purchase matters—including purchase planning, budgeting, purchase orders, and deliveries—across multiple product lines for New Sales and Conversion contracts.
Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with other departments, monitor subcontractors, and resolve vendor non-conformities to ensure successful project execution within our global network.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Make strategic purchase decisions following the MacGregor Purchase Policy, coordinating major purchases
- Check and approve invoices in accordance with Company policies and rules
- Resolve vendor non-conformities, manage financial settlements, and provide input to CMs to resolve customer claims
- Manage technical documentation, including distributing drawings and obtaining "as built" drawings and class documentation from subcontractors
- Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and inspections with the Production Control Department
- Actively monitor supplier and S&SC performance during contracts and present analyses during closeout meetings
The position is based in Göteborg and reports directly to the Manager, Purchasing MSD.
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you possess negotiation skills and a highly collaborative team spirit. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable working in virtual teams, learns quickly new things, and is willing to travel when required.
Ideally you have:
- Relevant education
- 5 years of experience working in project environments and/or as a professional purchaser
- Experience in managing technical documentation
- Hands-on experience working with ERP systems
- A keen drive to increase your professional knowledge and adapt to new process
- Experience with defense,naval or military project environments
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
