As a Sales Project Manager you will be a member of our Sales team. You will collaborate with Sales Managers to deliver and promote tailored solutions with purpose to create lifetime value to our customers. 


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include analysing customer inquiries and proposing our best technical solutions, you will create cost estimates, technical specifications, and tendering drawings. In this role you will also collaborate with internal stakeholders from all other departments and frequently communicate with Shipyards, Shipowners and Design Consultants.


More tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Contribute to the development of MacGregor's Cargo Access Solutions (CAS) offerings and processes
  • Implement inventions into sales projects in collaboration with customer development section
  • Attend weekly sales meetings, participate in validation and concept reviews, and represent the company at industry events within your assigned area


This role is part of our Equipment and Solutions Division. Reporting directly to the Manager, Sales Engineering. This position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for a person who has previous experience in technical sales, project management or engineering, and likes managing multiple projects simultaneously. As a person, you possess good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage complex projects and engineering tasks. You need proven ability to prioritize and adjust the scope of work at each phase of the project, and to work independently against set performance goals. You should enjoy working in a technical environment and need a good understanding of the strength of materials, mechanics, electrics, and hydraulics.


You also have

 

  • Relevant degree (M.Sc., B.Sc., Diploma, or equivalent experience) in engineering or a related field preferably in Marine industry
  • A strong working knowledge of ship construction, steel drawings, and relevant software programs (AutoCAD, Inventor/3D CAD, MS Office, etc.)
  • Understanding of MacGregor's drawing handling system and Integrated Management System
  • Fluent in English - both verbal and written
