Join Our Sales Team as a Sales Project Manager in Gothenburg


We are looking for a Sales Project Manager to be the technical expert responsible for our customer offers. You will be accountable for ensuring that the correct technical solution, cost, and scope of supply are selected for each tender. You will actively support customers, ship owners, and design consultants, presenting MacGregor solutions and contributing to the development of our customer offering.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Evaluate customer inquiries to determine optimal solutions from the MacGregor portfolio; develop cost estimates, technical specifications, and tendering drawings (EMA), including vehicle envelope checks
  • Lead all technical correspondence and presentations for customers and align technical solutions with internal stakeholders during the firm-bid phase
  • Identify non-standard equipment risks, implement innovative solutions into sales projects, and ensure the seamless transfer of technical material to the contract organization
  • Maintain flexibility across various assignments and projects to support colleagues and adapt to evolving market demands

 

Reporting directly to the Manager, Sales Engineering. This position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you’ll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need very good technical and project management skills, enabling you to manage multiple projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing and adjusting the scope of work. A sound technical understanding of mechanics, material strength, electrics, and hydraulics is essential. You must be able to work independently against set performance goals, proposing and developing technical solutions and cost estimates based on our product portfolio.


Ideally you have

  • M.Sc., B.Sc., Diploma, or higher technical education
  • At least 5 years of experience  in technical sales, project management, or engineering is preferred
  • A strong working knowledge of ship construction and marine engineering principles
  • Proficiency in relevant software (AutoCAD, Inventor/3D CAD, MS Office, etc.) and specialized calculation tools
  • The ability to interpret steel drawings as well as electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Willingness to travel for business occasionally
  • Fluency in both Spoken and written English
