Are you driven by improving the product lifecycle value and customer satisfaction? MacGregor’s Global Service Division is looking for a Senior Manager, Product Support.
The purpose of this role is to lead the global product maintenance support team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical services, knowledge sharing, and process improvement for our field service engineers across regions.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing leadership and direction to ensure the effective management of technical troubleshooting, documentation, training programs, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
The preferred location is Gothenburg, Sweden but we are also open to candidates from other MacGregor locations.
More tasks and responsibilities
In this role you will provide clear strategic direction and ensure accountability within the team by defining goals, responsibilities, and performance metrics. You will supervise 24/7 technical support delivery for field engineers and ensure development of accurate technical documentation and access to system updates.
- Coordinate closely with field engineers, operations, and support teams
- Act as the main contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication
- Standardize regional support processes to boost efficiency and productivity
- Create workflows to share knowledge to enhance customer support
- Align with R&D and ESD to solve complex issues and support product development
- Represent the support team in strategic discussions on service delivery
What you’ll need to succeed
Strategic thinking with a results-driven approach to addressing organizational challenges are essential for this position. We are looking for a person who is familiar with PLCs, cranes, winches, and other industrial systems, as well as technical documentation processes.
Ideally you have
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product support, technical service management, or leading technical teams
- Proven ability to lead teams through change management initiatives, inspiring and guiding them toward shared goals
- Deep understanding of technical support processes and service delivery
- Ability to oversee multiple projects while maintaining a focus on operational excellence
- Openness to business travel
