Are you passionate about efficiently processing warehouse goods, workshop activities, and handling of tooling and department equipment? MacGregor is looking to hire an ambitious and proactive candidate to join our Operations team. 

 

MacGregor is a leading provider of integrated cargo and load handling solutions for the maritime industry. More tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Receipt, checking, storage, and packing of goods; quality control and freight booking (SAP)
  • Despatch/loading, inventory counting, and record-keeping of goods movements
  • Manage warehouse safety, security, cleaning, and labeling of goods
  • Oversee rental tools: maintenance, packing, dispatch, inspections, and inventory management
  • Ensure workshop machinery is maintained according to procedures
  • Perform minor repairs of tooling, manage consumables procurement, and maintain a clean, safe workshop environment
  • Independently handle workshop operations, coordinate with engineers, and manage vehicles (cars, trailers, trucks)

 

This role is part of our Global Services Division. Reporting directly to the Administration Manager. This position is based in Norfolk, VA.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

  • Vocational or post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Maritime, or the equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of Mechanical and service components
  • Warehouse and field service experience is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace, SAP
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multitask
  • Proactive in addressing customer needs (both external and internal)
  • Driving license for car and forklift required
  • Ability to consistently lift and carry items weighing up to 25lbs

Compensation Data

 

Salary is $50,000 per year based on skills and experience. This position is classified as non-exempt under the FLSA and is therefore eligible for overtime.
