We are looking for an analytical and eager-to-learn Treasury Trainee to join our Group Treasury team for the summer 2026. This is a full-time position for approximately three months between May and August, with the exact dates to be agreed upon. As part of our team, you will have a chance to get an overview of how a multinational organization operates. You will work as an active member of the Global Treasury function and get the chance to participate in various Treasury Front Office activities.

 


The position will be based in Helsinki, Finland.

More tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Optimizing and monitoring the Group’s liquidity position
  • Identifying and mitigating the parent company’s foreign exchange risks
  • Monitoring and analyzing FX exposures across subsidiaries to ensure alignment with Group policy
  • Contributing to treasury process improvements and providing support for internal stakeholders
  • Coordinating the bi-monthly netting process, including checking FX positions in the netting center, running netting rates, and closing settlement cycles
  • Participating in the Treasury management system (TMS) renewal project
  • Participating in Treasury’s reporting duties and handling of ad-hoc administrative tasks

What you’ll need to succeed

 

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a strong interest in finance and treasury. You are eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.


You are comfortable working with data and numbers, have a structured approach to tasks, and are motivated to develop your skills in areas such as liquidity and FX risk management, financial analysis, and treasury processes.


Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset will support your success in this role.


Ideally you have

 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s level studies in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related fields. Preferably in the mid/late phase in studies
  • Previous work experience in a corporate Finance or Treasury function is an asset
  • A positive can-do mindset and a proactive approach to work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
  • Good communication skills, fluent written and spoken English
  • Good IT skills with ability to quickly adapt to new tools and systems
