Do you thrive in driving client success? Looking no further, MacGregor is looking to hire an Account Manager to join our team. 


The purpose of this role is to plan, develop, direct, execute and monitor sales activities within a specified geography or market segment to achieve established sales targets. You will also promote and sell the organization's products and services.


You'll be instrumental in driving sales growth and optimizing performance. Your day-to-day will involve developing equipment and service sales budgets and plans for your assigned geography, market segment, or specific customers. You'll also negotiate sales with both existing and new clients. Furthermore, you'll contribute to preparing accurate sales and service forecasts and budgets. You'll monitor sales revenues against forecasts to proactively identify and address potential issues, and adapt procedures and priorities to continuously enhance overall performance.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Contribute to sales, customer retention, and general account planning strategies for your area by providing market intelligence and understanding trends
  • Pursue sales leads, visiting existing and new customers to meet sales target levels
  • Proactively develop and implement sales tactics and action plans with manager’s approval and working with the sales support teams
  • Collect and update all relevant market and customer information and inform all branch and regional management
  • Stay informed regarding Order/Delivery follow-up of contracts and keep management appraised of higher level support requirements when customer relationships are in jeopardy
  • Accept, execute and deliver other projects as assigned by management for the benefit of the company
  • Regular travel, approximately one week per month, is a component of this role.
  • Reporting directly to the Regional Account Manager.

 

The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Houston, United States of America.

What you’ll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role works independently and is target oriented. We are looking for a person who is customer oriented, well organised and communicative. 

 

Ideally you have

  • Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma in engineering, marine or business
  • Minimum 3-5 years in marine, merchant, cruise and/or offshore
  • Experience in successful Sales in the respective region/country
  • Good basic IT skills
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Spanish as an advantage
