We are looking for an R&D Engineer to join our innovative team within MacGregor’s Cargo Stowage Solutions business unit. As a part of our R&D team, your role will involve diverse product and system development tasks focused on steel structures.
Reporting directly to the Director, R&D. This position is based in Kaarina, Finland.
More tasks and responsibilities
You will work across all stages of product development, from preliminary research to the end of the product lifecycle:
- Ideation and business validation
- Equipment selection
- Mechanical and software design
- Risk analysis
- Testing and verification
- Product documentation and support
What you'll need to succeed
- Educational Background: M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D SolidWorks and a strong understanding of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Software Knowledge: Basic skills in programming and software development.
- Mindset: A flexible, problem-solving attitude and the ability to develop new, innovative solutions.
- Continuous Learning: The ability to easily adopt new technologies and a desire to deepen your expertise.
- Communication: Good communication skills with fluent spoken and written English. Communication with Finnish language is considered as advantage.
- Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills and a readiness to travel.
