Do you have passion and are willing to develop your technical problem solving and strength analysis skills? We are looking for a trainee to join our team in Kaarina! 


MacGregor is a leading provider of integrated cargo and load handling solutions for the maritime industry. Our equipment is installed on more than half of vessels worldwide, enhancing efficiency, safety, and sustainability for shipowners and operators. We pride ourselves on delivering world-class support to ensure the optimal performance of our equipment and are seeking a Trainee, Strength Analyst who shares our commitment to exceptional service.

This role is part of our Merchant and Solutions Division. Reporting directly to the Team Lead, Strength Analysis.The position will be on-site in MacGregor’s office in Kaarina, Finland. The traineeship is scheduled to run from May through August 2026.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Strength analysis knowledge to provide support for ongoing design projects
  • Contribution to the development of innovative design tools and internal guidelines
  • Close collaboration with design partners
  • Assistance to cross-functional teams such as R&D, tendering, and control systems

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Relevant engineering degree studies, such as mechanical engineering, with preferably three or more years of completed studies. Strength analysis should be the main or secondary subject
  • Good skills using 3D cad software and FEM-software (Solidworks, Ansys)
  • Technical approach with strong problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
