Drydock Superintendent Offshore

Ready to take charge of complex projects and ensure the execution of dry-docking operations? Looking no further, MacGregor is looking to hire a Dry Docking Superintendent to join our team.

The Dry Docking Superintendent is responsible for organizing and planning dry docking activities. The person will actively cooperate with front line sales, operations and Global Service Centre in order to serve clients in terms of maintenance, repair and overhauling for the equipment. Collaboration with other regions and functions is required.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Pro-actively liaise with customers to generate drydock related business in cooperation with frontline sales. Increase the number of pre docking inspections, request for quotations and hit rate for dry docking quotes
  • Visit customers and build rapport with relevant contact persons and decision makers (i.e. Superintendents)
  • Obtain customers fleet dry docking schedules
  • Schedule pre docking inspections (PDI’s)
  • Arrange service and spare parts quotes; create spare parts notifications in Salesforce; follow up quotes in cooperation with frontline sales (FLS) for timely ordering
  • Prepare dry docking (date/location/scope) and handover to operations
  • Collect customer feedback (dry docking related) and register in a non-conformity report tool when required
  • Collaborate with Business intelligence and Sales to increase and forecast dry docking sales


Reporting directly to the Operations Manager. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Kristiansand, Norway.

What you’ll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who can continuously improve current processes and ways of working in the organization. In addition, you can work independently and influence and negotiate with key internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for a person who can lead and supervise projects with excellent social and communication skills.


Ideally you have

  • Higher education on Bachelor level, preferably in the fields of engineering
  • Alternatively comparable or equal degrees or equivalent due to experience
  • 5+ year track record from relevant service business as well as relevant products
  • Commercial & negotiation experience and interest
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
