We are looking for a Production Purchaser who will be responsible for assigned projects, and act as coordinator towards the project manager in purchasing related activities.
As the Production Purchaser you will be responsible for item cost and related budgets in those projects, along with reporting of any deviations from agreed project budget to project manager.
In addition, you have to ensure that your tasks comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS), Project Executing Model (PEM) and the local QEHS system, rules and requirements
More tasks and responsibilities
- Be the main purchase contact person on assigned projects for project manager
- Responsible for follow up project budget on item cost, and report deviation to the project manager on a monthly basis
- Ensure supplier data and prices are correct and up to date in the ERP-system
- Negotiate prices, handle purchase requisitions, place POs, and follow up delivery
- Be the main supplier responsible (SR) for dedicated suppliers
- Responsible for the Free Issued Items (FII) are on time and at the production site, according to project plan-coordinate with suppliers and production follow-up responsible
- Responsible for, on a continuous basis, to identify and execute cost saving actions
- Register, follow up and close supplier claims and liquidated damages (LD), for breach in Quality/Scope/Delivery time
- Meeting own KPI’s and contributing to department KPI’s
The position is located in Kristiansand, Norway and reporting directly to the Manager, Purchasing
This is a one-year, fixed-term job offer.
What you’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate is a professional, mature team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills. You thrive in multicultural environments, stay organized under pressure, and are flexible for travel to OSD and MacGregor locations.
Ideally you have
- Bachelor's degree (preferred fields include Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics Management, or Science)
- A technical or commercial background with documented, proven results in similar positions may compensate for a formal degree
- Preferably 5 years of professional purchasing experience
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
