Join the Global Service Division at MacGregor as a Senior Manager Service Projects and become a key driver of growth within Service Projects.


MacGregor Service Projects supports shipowners and operators in upgrading and modernizing their fleet to extend service life, enhance operational capabilities, or improve performance. We deliver standard or tailored solutions, from minor upgrades to full overhauls and complete equipment replacements across the MacGregor portfolio, ensuring safe, reliable, and future-ready operations.


In addition to the above, we supply all types of MacGregor equipment to sailing vessels, supporting both existing and new installations across the global fleet.


This position is responsible for leading and developing the offshore service projects organization. You will be key to ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business growth across international markets. 


You will drive both strategy and execution, leading a high-performing team to deliver offshore projects safely, efficiently, and profitably. As part of the Service Projects Leadership Team, you will be expected to actively participate in all meetings and discussions.

  • Ensure safe, high-quality, and timely delivery of offshore service projects to global customers.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project performance, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Proactively identify market opportunities and implement strategies for competitiveness and growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic insight and regular reporting on project performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Empower, coach, and motivate team members and global peers to achieve excellence and innovation.


Reporting directly to the Director, Service Projects located in Norway. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Kristiansand or Arendal, Norway. 

What you’ll need to succeed

 

We are seeking an inspiring leader who can motivate and develop diverse teams while demonstrating a strong business orientation that effectively balances customer focus and profitability. The ideal candidate is an analytical and strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills across all organizational levels. 
You also possess solid organizational and change management capabilities and thrive in a fast-paced, international, and cross-cultural environment.


Ideally you have

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years' leadership experience within offshore, energy, or industrial services
  • Proven track record of managing teams and delivering results in complex service projects.
  • Financial acumen with experience in P&L responsibility
  • Solid understanding of offshore service operations and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven track record of generating revenue and closing deals in a B2B environment
  • High Proficiency in CRM systems, advanced business analytics, and reporting tools.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel occasionally
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
