The purpose of the role is to hold overall responsibility for leading all aspects of developing, implementing, and maintaining agreed QEHS (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety) and operating standards within the Offshore Solutions Division.
In this senior leadership position, you will serve as the strategic driving force behind our operational excellence—protecting our people, elevating project quality, and safeguarding the environment across all MacGregor offshore initiatives globally.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Define, govern, and drive the long-term QEHS strategy tailored specifically to the complex, high-stakes requirements of the Offshore division
- Implement and continuously optimize integrated management systems aligned with global standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 27001 and 45001)
- Act as a key advisor to executive management, project leaders, and field engineers to embed a zero-harm, proactive safety mindset
- Lead sustainable operational practices and ensure strict adherence to marine environmental protection regulations
- Oversee comprehensive audit programs, perform rigorous risk assessments, lead root-cause analyses, and enforce robust corrective actions
- Collaborate closely with the QEHS team, supply chain, engineering, project delivery, and customer teams to guarantee quality throughout the product lifecycle
This position is located in Kristiansand or Arendal, Norway reporting to the Director QEHS and in the dotted line to EVP OSD.
What you’ll need to succeed

Ideally you have
- University degree in engineering or an equivalent field
- 5–10 years of experience in leading QEHS positions, preferably within the marine industry
- Solid knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards, alongside experience with ISO 27001
- Approved and experienced ISO auditor (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and preferably 27001)
- Demonstrated experience with specific Maritime industry requirements
- Willingness to undertake international travel
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
