This is an opportunity for a hands-on expert, who will be responsible for performing repairs on critical offshore equipment. Your focus on quality and safety will be essential to keeping our customers' vessels moving and hitting our service goals.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Performing on-site maintenance, repairs, and inspections of offshore cranes, gangways and other systems
- Diagnose and resolve complex software, electrical and hydraulic issues
- Maintain professional relationships with both internal teams and external customers
- Preparing detailed service reports and documentation for all work performed
- Identify sales opportunities and communicate them to the line manager to support all sales activities.
- Maintain current knowledge of key customers and technical information, including new developments, service bulletins, and MacGregor product specifications
The position is part of our Global Services Division, located in Kristiansand, Norway. You will report to the Operations Manager.
What you’ll need to succeed
We are seeking a highly communicative and technically skilled individual who thrives on solving challenges and prioritizes customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate collaborative abilities within a multicultural environment.
Ideally you have
- A technical education at college level in Mechatronics, Automation, or a similar relevant field
- Proficiency with Siemens PLCs; experience with Beckhoff is a strong advantage
- 2+ years of proven experience in a related role. Offshore experience is highly preferred
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and colleagues
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively
