Are you an experienced service professional who enjoys coordinating people, solving customer problems and leading teams? We are looking for a Service Manager to join our service
operations team in Kristiansand.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing service jobs worldwide. You will act as the link between customers, service engineers, technical support and spare parts teams,
ensuring that the right resources are assigned and that customer issues are resolved efficiently
and professionally.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Coordinate service jobs from initial customer request through completion and invoicing
- Communicate with customers to understand requirements and provide updates
throughout the service process - Lead and develop a team of service engineers, including performance and development
discussions, competence planning and training follow-up - Assign and mobilize service engineers, including travel and logistical arrangements
- Work closely with account managers, technical support and spare parts teams to ensure
successful job execution - Review service reports and follow up on invoicing and administrative tasks
- Support quotations and customer follow-up when required
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Kristiansand, Norway.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Technical background with a good engineering understanding
- Experience in service operations, field service, project coordination or a similar role
- Comfortable working across multiple ERP, CRM and document management systems, quickly locating information and maintaining accurate operational records
- Previous people-management experience is an advantage
- Strong planning, communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities simultaneously
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Norwegian is an advantage.
