Production Control Supervisor, Junior

We're looking for a Junior Production Control Engineer with mechanical and hydraulic experience in Marine industry. As the Junior Production Control Engineer you will become a key partner in our success! 

The Junior Production Control Engineer will be in validating material quality, welding procedures, painting, machining, documentation etc in Manufacturing facilities during the fabrication of Offshore equipment, Cranes, Bow Loading Systems, Walk to work Gangways etc.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Follow up and support of equipment assembly testing and acceptance of equipment (MC test/ FAT) according to requirements set in the ITP.
• Monitor and assess risks related to Quality, Cost and Schedule. Ensure suppliers adhere to MacGregor quality standards, requiring significant presence in the workshop.
• Perform comprehensive inspections of steel structures, painting, components, equipment, and final delivery, adhering to MGC holding points/checklists.
• Provide technical production support to suppliers regarding manufacturing processes.
• Educate and train shipyards and subcontractors on welding MacGregor steel structures on board, providing site or remote support as needed.

Reporting directly to Interim Global Manager, Installation & Commissioning. The position preferably located be in Nantong, China.

What you’ll need to succeed

To excel in this position, you should understand and work with technical documentation, have experience in mechanicals and hydraulics, electrical would be a plus. As a person you are cooperative, customer oriented and have technical skills.

Ideally you have

• 5+ years’experience QA/QC experience with welding, machining, dimensional control, or Surface treatment / Painting Required
• Formal Training in Hydraulic, Electrical and Controls is an advantage
• Experience in a large industrial manufacturing setting or shipyard construction is preferred
• Experience with mechanical assembly, hydraulic installation and flushing, and electrical installation is an advantage
• Position may require frequent travel within China.  Primarily Nantong, Taicang, Dalian, Tianjin
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
