The purpose of this role is to execute service, repair and maintenance work on the MacGregor Product Range such as hatch covers, ramps, winches, cranes and steering gears. You will ensure the work is carried out efficiently, accurately, in a friendly manner and support the rest of the organization effectively sharing information within the team. As a Service Engineer, you will also be responsible to support Service overall goals and budgets.


This is a position that requires that you travel to client sites, vessels or at shipyards worldwide. Our clients are spread across the globe therefore, flexibility and a strong willingness to travel is essential.


This role is part of our Global Services Division. Reporting directly to the Operations Superintendent. This position is based in Bremen, Bremerhaven or Hamburg

What you’ll need to succeed

We are looking for a person with either a mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical background. As a person you are cooperative, customer oriented and have technical skills. If you are an experienced service engineer or just starting out, a motivated and eager to learn mentality is a key to success.  

Ideally you have

  • Technical apprenticeship or college level or similar relevant experience
  • Experience in marine/shipyard sector is an asset
  • Hands on skills in performing repair jobs
  • Willing to work overtime hours and during weekends and public holidays when required and to travel frequently
