The Contract Manager is head of the project and responsible for supporting sales to evaluate the budget, scope, schedule and risks from contract award to delivery. Manage and lead allocated project teams, and maintain the relationship with the Customer until the expiry of guarantee. Support Sales in the tender phase and bring experience from former projects. As the Contract Manager you will become a key partner in our success!
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Overall responsible for the project deliverables including project financials, scope and schedule (time,cost and quality) from contract award to delivery (handover from Sales till warranty expiry).
- Support sales in tender project plan, budget, risk register, deviation list and firm bid for sales.
- Responsible for executing projects according to the project execution model, and establishing the project team with correct team members and roles.
- Serve as the primary contact with the customer, responsible for executing the project according to the commitments agreed with the Customer in the contract, provide an efficient transfer of knowledge from Tender Phase to the Design Phase.
- Responsible for establishing a meeting schedule for the entire project execution period according to the governance model.
- Responsible for identifying, define and implement mitigation plans if deviation occurs in terms of cost overruns, delays and scope.
- Evaluate the consequences of the changes (eg. Technical Tender Documentation, Risk Register, Project Budget, and Project Plan) when there are significant changes between Firm bid and Contract.
Reporting directly to the Director, CM & Commissioning China Operation, Merchant Solutions Division. The position will be based in MacGregor's office in Shanghai, China.
What you’ll need to succeed
A highly proactive and goal-oriented professional with a knack for finding solutions. You excel at follow-up, coordination, and project management, skillfully handling complex tasks to ensure successful outcomes. You know how to communicate effectively with both clients and internally, building positive relationships and clear understanding. Highly structured and business-minded, with solid organizational skills, including meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multi-task efficiently under pressure.
Ideally you have
- M.Sc. or B.Sc, preferably within business, finance and/or engineering
- Proven operational experience and results in project management of Projects within relevant businesses
- Excellent follow up, coordination and project management skills
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure,positive and motivating leadership
- Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- English language and communication skills
