The project manager is responsible for delivering our projects on time, at the correct cost, quality, customer satisfaction and internal organisational satisfaction. As the project manager you will become a key partner in our success!
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Assist the Europe-based Project Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring project activities and deliverables in China.
- Responsible for the execution of allocated projects as handover of a project from OSD Sales and until delivery of the project, including Handover, to GSD.
- Set project baseline and schedule, and ensure ownership and acceptance of responsibility from all stakeholders and Project Core Team, including regular update alignment on cost and schedule.
- Be the customers point of contact during the project execution and for warranty claims, ensure the customer meets the obligations as set out in the contract payment terms and condition.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation plans, and do continued risk management during the execution, ensure that mitigating actions are delegated and followed up by project team.
- Identify and managing cost overruns, schedules slippages and scope slippage, proactively do analyses of the financial forecast, risk and project planning.
Reporting directly to the Director, CM & Commissioning, China Operation, Merchant Solutions Division. The position will be based in MacGregor's office in China.
What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for a person with relevant experience in the marine industry, and excellent client-facing and communication skills. As a person you are cooperative, problem-solving, proactive, self-driven and business mind-set.
Ideally you have
- Higher degree, Bachelor or Master level, preferably within finance and/or engineering
- Proven operational experience and results in project management of Projects within relevant businesses
- P&L responsibility and tracking budgets
- Excellent follow up, coordination and project management skills
- Excellent English written and verbal
