We're looking for a Sales Engineer with technical experience in Marine industry. As the Sales Engineer you will become a key partner in our success!
The Sales Engineer serves as a key technical interface, focused on managing and interpreting customer requirements to anticipate needs and translate them into viable solutions. The position is responsible for bridging the gap between sales and technical execution by working closely with the Engineering department to secure critical data, including specifications, drawings, and costing.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Proactively manage and qualify customer enquiries to ensure timely and accurate response.
- Drive the preparation of technical documentation by coordinating with the Business Line sales engineers and Engineering department, ensuring all proposals align with both customer needs and MacGregor's technical capabilities.
- Make technical presentations and demonstrate how products meet client needs.
- Actively contribute to and ensure technical alignment in firm bid reviews and sales kick-off sessions.
- Responsible for technical client interface, including traveling to meet customers and presenting technical solutions.
Reporting directly to Sales Director. The position will be based in MacGregor's office in Shanghai or Tianjin, China.
What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for a person with basic knowledge of technical, and continuous customer contact, problem-solving, strategic planning, and process improvement. As a person you are cooperative, customer oriented and have technical skills.
Ideally you have
- B.Eng / Sc. or M. Eng / Sc. in Mechanical, Marine, or Offshore Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering, sales support, or technical sales, preferably from the Marine/Offshore industry.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and Commercial mindset.
- English language and communication skills
