Finance & Accounting Manager

Are you a self-driven, solution-oriented, and accounting professional who thrives on financial management? We are looking for an Finance & Accounting Manager, who will act as the main contact for local tax, statutory, audit, and financial risk matters for assigned countries in Europe.

In this highly visible role, you will collaborate closely with finance and accounting teams in Bulgaria and international stakeholders from the business to oversee financial governance, statutory reporting, and compliance, ensuring alignment with local Accounting Act and regulations as well as MacGregor’s global financial framework.

This role includes collaborating with external providers for accounting and audit services.

More tasks and responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local accounting,legal, tax, and internal finance policies and controls
• Oversee tax and statutory reporting, including outsourced activities
• Maintain accurate accounting records, inventory, and fixed asset processes
• Support IFRS group reporting
• Support financial risk management, liquidity, and treasury activities
• Participate in M&A projects and handle ad hoc administrative tasks
  
  

This role, a hybrid position based in Sofia, Bulgaria, reports to the Director MacGregor Finance Shared Services.

What you’ll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, it is essential that you possess excellent organization and coordination skills, accompanied by strong prioritization abilities. We are looking for an influencing communicator who drives high quality through delegation and stakeholder coordination, rather than hands-on execution.

Ideally you have:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or relevant field
• More than 5 years of experience in a relevant finance or accounting role
• Previous audit experience is a plus
• Knowledge of IFRS 
• Knowledge of French and Danish statutory and tax compliance requirements would be considered an advantage
• Experience with ERP( SAP would be an advantage)
• Fluent spoken and written English.
