Are you a payroll expert ready to drive efficiency and compliance on a global scale?

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Payroll Specialist to manage the end-to-end payroll process for MacGregor. This is a pivotal role focused on accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. 

You will be key to standardizing our global payroll processes and driving efficiency, always ensuring full compliance with international and local regulations.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • You will be accountable for the accurate payroll and administration processing for the assigned countries
  • Ensure all payroll documentation is current, complete, and legally compliant
  • Identify and support the implementation of opportunities to standardize payroll globally, working closely with local HR teams.
  • Provide guidance and support on payroll processes to our HR teams across different countries
  • Work together with the Performance & Rewards team during Global processes (Salary review and Bonus processes) or ad-hoc projects.


Reporting directly to the HR Services Delivery Lead located in Sofia.This hybrid role is based in MacGregor's Sofia, Bulgaria office.

What you’ll need to succeed

We are seeking a candidate with project management skills who can efficiently organize, drive, and deliver on initiatives. This role also requires excellent cross-cultural communication and stakeholder management abilities to effectively collaborate with diverse global teams and influence key internal partners.

Ideally you have

  • University degree
  • Proven experience coordinating payroll in a multi-country or international environment, specifically within an outsourced model
  • High proficiency with HRIS and Payroll technologies (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors, Workday)
  • Experience with Time & Attendance tools and process design
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Analytical skills with the ability to perform data analysis and comprehensive reporting
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
