The role should face the demand of Business Intelligence(BI) and hands-on data analytics in MacGregor. The primary focus will be on the development and maintenance of various reporting and BI solutions, automation of reporting workflows through the BI Platform and support of process improvement initiatives within the organization. 


You will support the organization with the creation and maintenance of high-quality reporting solutions based on the needs, such as dashboards, presentations and custom queries that provide valuable insights for users. You will also act as a point of contact for all development initiatives in the field of BI and analytics and work closely with business stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in the field of data and process analytics.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Build the code and logic required to transform raw or pre-modelled data in a format ready for consumption and visualization
  • Ensure proper documentation, version control, metadata maintenance and data catalogs that support the developments in the area
  • Suggest, plan and take part in continuous improvement projects across the area of responsibility
  • Work towards the establishment of self-service culture across MacGregor by providing support, training and sharing of best practices to the team members who are using the new BI tools


Reporting directly to the Director, Data-Driven Insights and Analytics. The position will be based in MacGregor’s office in Sofia, Bulgaria.

What you’ll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role has analytical and data visualization skills and the ability to draw relevant conclusions from data. The role requires experience interacting with different stakeholders and at various levels of seniority. You also have to be an advanced user of spreadsheet applications with a process-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently, applying problem-solving and organizational skills.


Ideally you have

 

  • Bachelor/University degree in Finance, Economics, Computer science,Statistics  or other related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence or Reporting & Analytics function
  • Advanced knowledge of BI reporting tools such as Looker Studio, Qlik Sense, PowerBI or similar
  • Experience with SQL, writing and debugging of SQL queries and procedures, working with views
  • Good understanding of relational database management systems and/or cloud-based platforms: data modeling, architectures and pipelines (Google Cloud / BigQuery is desirable, but not a requirement)
  • Experience in ERP Systems such as SAP would be an advantage
  • Experience in Finance area is considered a plus
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
