Do you have a strong technical background and a passion for providing world-class service in the maritime industry? MacGregor is currently looking for a Service Engineer to join our Global Services Division.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our customers' equipment operates efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for a variety of technical tasks, from routine maintenance to complex refurbishments, representing MacGregor as a trusted partner on-site.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Handle all service activities, including upgrades, inspections, and repairs on MacGregor and other third-party equipment.
- Write clear service reports and share customer feedback to help our organization improve.
- Build strong relationships with clients and identify opportunities for parts or service sales while on-site.
- Lead on-site subcontractors and help train or mentor junior colleagues.
- Stay up to date with our technical processes and keep sharpening your professional skills.
Reporting directly to the Service Manager located in Tallinn, Estonia.
What you’ll need to succeed
You are a motivated, independent worker who thrives in a technically advanced and fast-paced environment. You are highly adaptable, able to perform under pressure, and dedicated to maintaining the highest safety standards.
Ideally, you have:
- A nationally recognized technical education, such as an NVQ Level 4 Apprenticeship, or equivalent technical training is required
- Engineering Graduates are welcome to apply
- Solid experience in Electrical, Hydraulic, Marine, Military, or heavy engineering
- Experience working in ports, onboard ships, or in offshore environments is highly preferred
- Practical knowledge of electric and/or hydraulics
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
- Fluency in both written and spoken Estonian
- Valid driving license
- Willgines to travel
