Team Leader, Service Hub

As the Team Leader, you will be there from day one - building and leading a team of Technicians, Engineers and Senior Engineers whose expertise powers service delivery across MacGregor’s European branches. Your mission: grow our service capacity, drive customer satisfaction and put Trieste on the map as an integral part of our global service network. 

More tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Plan, prioritize, and manage workloads for a team of Technicians, Engineers and Service Engineers supporting multiple MacGregor European branches.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the service engineering team, including competence planning, training, quality, safety, and HR matters.
  • Serve as the primary contact between the Trieste hub and other company branches.
  • Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards; provide business reporting including utilization forecasts.
  • Manage service administration including travel logistics, visa applications, yard/port entry permits, and local insurance.
  • Oversee indirect procurement (PPE, tools, consumables); check and approve incoming invoices.
  • Ensure internal policy compliance, review field service reports, and prepare invoicing documentation.

Ideally you have:
•    Technical background with a good engineering understanding (apprenticeship, technical diploma, or degree in mechanical, electrical, marine engineering, or a related field). 
•    Hands-on experience in operations, field service, or a similar coordinator role. 
•    Demonstrated management and communication skills, with the ability to lead, coordinate and inspire a team. 
•    Good digital skills, including day-to-day use of MS Office (especially Excel) and comfort using internal company systems.
•    Good command of English (minimum B2 level).
•    Valid driving license and willingness to travel across Europe approximately 25 – 40% of the time to support MacGregor’s branches and customers.

The base salary for this position is estimated at €52,000 – € 63,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
