The Commissioning & Installation Engineer will be responsible for lead and supervise installation of cranes at yards worldwide. Perform commission of cranes and verify that cranes meet requested performance and quality according to valid SAT. To handle guarantee claims technically and in contact with customers. To lead and perform commissioning of highly advanced cranes with the latest technology. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead crane installations at yard.
  • Perform commissioning of cranes at yard, Perform crew training for customers.
  • Technical support at installation, commissioning and guarantee claims.
  • Participate when making Service bulletins and service information.
  • Handle guarantee claims, do guarantee service, and Participate in R&D projects.

 

Reporting directly to the Commissioning Team Leader. The position will travel to the shipyard in China as project needed.

What you’ll need to succeed

We are looking for a person with basic knowledge of electrical. As a person you are cooperative, customer oriented and have technical skills.


Ideally you have

  • Commercial or Technical background, B.Sc./M.Sc in Engineering
  • At least 5 years of relevant business / product experience
  • Product knowledge, ship cranes
  • Project and Process Management Skills
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
